Mirror court ace Adrian dies aged 65
LEGENDARY Daily Mirror reporter Adrian Shaw has died suddenly, aged 65.
He was noted for his fast and accurate shorthand, making him the ideal court reporter – a job he loved.
Joining us in 1994, he covered major trials including those of killer doctor Harold Shipman and Soham child murderer Ian Huntley.
Eugene Duffy, former head of news, said: “He never filed bad copy.” And former editor Piers Morgan added: “A good man and excellent journalist.”
Adrian, who left the paper in 2015, loathed social media and refused to use it. Beyond work, his passions were Man United and The Rolling Stones.
And he was devoted to wife Chrissie and children Jenny and Alex.
