HISTORY LESSON

It was 80 years ago this week, that the first Kindertransport train rescuing German Jewish children from Nazi persecution left Berlin. This was Britain’s response to Kristallnacht – the Night of the Broken Glass – which saw 91 Jews murdered, 267 synagogues destroyed and 30,000 people rounded up to be taken to Nazi concentration camps in November 1938. Our generation still has so much to learn from that moment.
