Nicky’s beer barrel bump

RADIO star Nicky Campbell revealed he suffered a serious head injury – when he was hit by a beer barrel.

The Radio 5 Live host, 57, said his skull was smashed while walking past a brewer’s lorry as a student in Aberdeen.

He said: “They were hoiking barrels off the lorry and didn’t see me and one landed on my head. “I’ve still got the bump.” He suffered concussion for a year and added: “I’d start staggering and people thought I was drunk...”
