Stanley died aged 24 days A JUDGE slammed a monster mum for treating her tot as a “fashion accessory” as she and her ex were jailed for the harrowing death of the newborn.

Tiny Stanley Davis suffered 32 fractures to his ribs and nine to his arms and legs in the first 16 days of his life.

He died in March last year of a skull EVIL Roxanne Davis & Samuel Davies and brain haemorrhage, aged 24 days, and experts said his injuries were usually seen in car crash victims.

He may have been thrown across a room in the “brutal” fatal attack, Winchester crown court heard.

Mum Roxanne Davis, 30, and ex Samuel Davies, 24, tested positive for cocaine when held – and blamed each other. Davis sobbed in the dock but Judge Jane Miller dismissed it as “crocodile tears”. She said: “You were delighted to show Stanley off to family and friends. But when you were back at home and he wasn’t a fashion accessory, you were happy to hand him over to your partner.”

It emerged many of Stanley’s injufracture ries were “re-fractures” caused on at least three occasions.

Davis, of Gosport, Hants, and Davies, of Southampton, got 10 years for causing or allowing the tot’s death.

Hampshire Safeguarding Children Board is reviewing Stanley’s care.
