THE family of a lad who died in the First World War have been reunited with his medal lost 50 years ago.

Ennie Clarke, 19, was killed in France while serving with the Duke of Wellington’s Regiment.

His family from Skipton, North Yorks, lost his medal on a day out in the 1970s.

Ennie’s great-niece Carol Ayrton put out an appeal on a community website and got a response from a man living 400 yards away who found it aged 10.

She said: “It’s a miracle.” Engelbert at Royal Albert Hall in 2015
