BIRMINGHAM v BRISTOL CITY

Birmingham forward Jota (hip) could be fit after missing the last three games. Harlee Dean has shrugged off a kick to the ankle. Bristol City could start Bailey Wright (thigh). Marley Watkins may lead the attack after Famara Diedhiou’s poor display in the draw against Millwall.

LEEDS UNITED v QPR

Teenager Jamie Shackleton will make only his second league start for Leeds, stepping in at right-back for Stuart Dallas (foot). Luke Ayling (knee) is still out. QPR will check on the fitness of Grant Hall (knock) after he sat out last weekend’s 3-2 home defeat by Hull.

MILLWALL v HULL CITY

Millwall have Ryan Leonard (right) available after suspension and he will replace Shaun Willams. Hull are expected to be without defenders Reece Burke (calf) and Eric Lichaj (hamstring) after both sustained injuries in last week’s win at QPR. Stephen Kingsley remains doubtful.

NORWICH CITY v BOLTON WANDERERS

Norwich will have winger Onel Hernandez available again following a hamstring problem. Midfielder Moritz Leitner (calf) remains unavailabl­e. Bolton hope to have midfielder Will Buckley available. Winger Yanic Wildschut could feature against his parent club.

SHEFFIELD WED v ROTHERHAM

Owls striker Fernando Forestieri (hamstring) is out for six weeks. Fellow striker Steven Fletcher will be assessed. Rotherham must check on the fitness of defender Clark Robertson, midfielder­s Joe Newell and Matty Palmer, and forward Kyle Vassell.

WIGAN ATHLETIC v DERBY COUNTY

Nick Powell (hamstring) may return for Wigan but Antonee Robinson (ankle), Gavin Massey (hamstring), Chey Dunkley (knee) are all out. Jack Marriott is in line to return for Derby after a foot problem. George Evans (knee and hip) is close to a return.

BRENTFORD v SWANSEA

Brentford are hoping Rico Henry will be available. Lewis MacLeod could be recalled. Swansea are without Daniel James (hamstring) for the next fortnight. Wilfried Bony returns to the squad after being rested at Derby, but Tom Carroll is again ruled out.

MIDDLESBRO­UGH v BLACKBURN

Middlesbro­ugh will be without highlyrate­d defender Dael Fry, forced out of last Saturday’s home defeat by Aston Villa after a clash of heads. Blackburn Rovers pair Darragh Lenihan (hip) and Amari’i Bell (hamstring) could both return. Midfielder Elliott Bennett is out.

NOTTINGHAM FOREST v PRESTON

Forest are still without the suspended Tobias Figueiredo. Danny Fox is ruled out with a foot injury and Hillal Soudani (knee) remains sidelined. Preston top scorer Callum Robinson (hamstring) is out. Sean Maguire (hamstring) and Daniel Johnson (thigh) are also still missing.

STOKE CITY v IPSWICH TOWN

Stoke defender Erik Pieters (hamstring) is a doubt. Midfielder Peter Etebo is in the middle of a threematch suspension. Ipswich midfielder Cole Skuse (knee) could be set for an extended spell on the sidelines. Winger Gwion Edwards (ankle) is expected to travel.

READING v SHEFFIELD UTD (5.30pm)

Caretaker Reading boss Scott Marshall must decide whether to retain teenage striker Danny Loader. Skipper Liam Moore (knock) remains doubtful. Sheffield United could be without strikers Leon Clarke and Ben Woodburn. David McGoldrick will play.
