Lauren aims to dance into history
PARALYMPIAN Lauren Steadman hopes to be the first disabled dancer in the Strictly final.
The swimmer-turned-paratriathlete, 25, says: “I’m so proud to have made it to the semifinal. The competitor in me always wanted to make it as far as I possibly could.
“Normalising disabilities was one of the reasons I wanted to do the show and I hope that I’ve helped in some way to achieve that. It’s been such an incredible journey. To make the finals would be the icing on the cake.”
Dance partner AJ Pritchard, 24, added: “Lauren’s message is an important one, ‘Don’t let anything hold you back’.”
