No tears for cold leader

-

THERESA May’s fate is to no longer be in office or power as the Prime Minister’s grip slips before our very eyes.

Bluster and obstinacy are no longer effective when Labour’s scenting blood and Tory MPs prepare to vote against her Brexit plan.

May going wouldn’t solve Britain’s problems or give hope to millions deserving a better deal after years of Tory austerity.

Brexit too is an almighty issue in a badlydivided country that wouldn’t vanish with May should she be elbowed out of Downing Street after losing a crucial vote in Parliament.

We would mourn her victims, not May. Decent folk struggling after their incomes were squeezed by Tory austerity. Families forced to turn to foodbanks when holes were punched into the welfare state. The sick waiting for operations from an ailing NHS.

Whenever May goes, history will judge her dishonesty, incompetence and indifference.
