Macron ‘will cave in’ after Paris rioting
CHAOS Protesters in Paris EMMANUEL Macron is poised to give protesters concessions after Paris was hit by a fourth consecutive weekend of rioting.
Saturday’s action by the “yellow vests” led to 1,723 arrests in the capital and across France.
The latest violence left 135 injured as buildings were torched, shops looted and police attacked.
Water cannon and tear gas were deployed.
The protests started last month over new green taxes on diesel and petrol.
The Parisien newspaper yesterday reported that after spending eight days holed up in the Elysee Palace, President Macron will make a TV address.
He has already been pilloried for abandoning the green taxes in response to the early rioting.
