Drivers steer clear of rules
MILLIONS of motorists do not remember basic rules of the road, a survey found.
A third (34%) believe the speed limit for cars on a dual carriageway is 60mph, when it is actually 70mph.
And 14% thought they could beep their horn in a built-up area at any time, said a poll of 2,000 drivers for insurers First Central.
There is in fact an 11.30pm-7am curfew.
Chief executive Andy James said: “It’s concerning how many drivers have forgotten speed limits.”
