Luiz facing Blues exit
CHELSEA risk losing David Luiz because of their over-30s policy on new contracts.
The 31-year-old Brazil defender, a free agent at the end of the season, will start getting pre-contract offers from next month.
Chelsea are prepared to offer him only a 12-month extension because of his age and that may force him to look elsewhere.
When quizzed about his future, Luiz said: “I am just trying to enjoy myself, like I do every single day.”
Asked if he would accept a one-year extension, Luiz replied: “We are still talking, let’s see. I love this club, everybody knows I want to stay.”
That comes on top of fresh Chelsea doubts about striker Alvaro Morata, with reports in Spain suggesting the centre-forward could quit in January.
