‘Sexfor£100’ hubby jailed for killing ex
ATTACK Cavanagh & Sophie A MAN who strangled his ex wife in a fit of “pent-up jealousy” after she refused to sleep with him one last time for £100 has been jailed for at least 16 years.
Martin Cavanagh, 35, attacked Sophie Cavanagh then wrote on a whiteboard she “deserved it”.
The 31-year-old mum’s naked body was discovered in bed at his flat in Bromley, South London, in May.
Cavanagh was found guilty of murder and jailed for life at the Old Bailey.
Setting a minimum 16year term, Judge Michael Grieve QC said: “You resolved that if you could not have Sophie no one else was going to.”
Jurors were shown a WhatsApp message “controlling” Cavanagh sent her, offering cash to have sex “one last time”. Poppy with Will Pair in the ITV show
