GET ready for seconds on Christmas day... as Ann Widdecombe returns to the floor with Anton Du Beke in the Strictly Come Dancing special.
The former Tory MP’s routines may have been turkeys but she won over viewers – and joins past contestants Anita Rani, Caroline Flack, Aston Merrygold, Michael Vaughan and Jake Wood in the festive telly extravaganza.
Ann, 71, said: “I am looking forward to returning to Strictly, where I shall again be pushed, pulled, cajoled and coaxed around in all manner of ways by my poor partner. Who knows, they might even fire me out of a canon.”
CAROLINE FLACK The TV presenter strutted her stuff in the 12th series in 2014, lifting the glitterball trophy with professional partner Pasha Kovalev. This time, she is dancing with Gorka Marquez. ASTON MERRYGOLD Aston is reunited with Janette Manrara for the Christmas special, a year after sparking Strictly’s biggest shocker by going out in seventh place after being tipped for the final. ANITA RANI Anita came fifth in the 13th series, three years ago, as she danced with Russian pro Gleb Savchenko. On Christmas Day, she does her fairytale dance with Neil Jones. JAKE WOOD Jake danced with Janette Manrara in the 2014 series, finishing in fifth place – just losing out on a spot in the final. This time, the EastEnder is dancing with Luba Mushtuk. MICHAEL VAUGHAN The cricketer was the eighth to be voted out in the 10th series in 2012, dancing with Natalie Lowe, who has now left the series. He dances with Nadiya Bychkova in the special.
