Holly: Stint as host was one-off
HOLLY Willoughby said her time hosting I’m A Celebrity was a “one-off bit of heaven”, in a clear sign she will not return next year. Holly, 37, fronted the show with Declan Donnelly, 43, as she stood in for regular host Anthony McPartlin, 43. Rumours are rife she may again take on the role in 2019, as the show enjoyed record ratings. But ITV sources said this is extremely unlikely as Ant is set to return. Asked about her time in Australia, Holly said yesterday: “I’ve had the best time. It’s like nothing I’ve ever done before.
“Everything about it is completely bonkers. The jungle is beautiful, the studio is beautiful... but everything wants to eat you.”
Speaking on a live link with ITV’s This Morning from the show’s wrap party on the Gold Coast, she added: “But I’ve really, really loved it. It’s been... a one-off bit of heaven.”
The show’s final attracted a peak audience of 12.1 million viewers.
