It’s season of forgetfulness

BUYING batteries and sellotape and preparing ice cubes are the top things we forget each Christmas.

Turning on the oven and buying gifts for extended relatives and foil for the turkey also slip our minds.

The poll of 2,000 adults found four in 10 worry about the stress of the day.

Women mainly blamed lapses on busy lives; for men it was mostly parties.

Argos, behind the poll, said: “It can be almost impossible to foolproof Christmas completely.”
