West victim sis forgives her murder

MONSTERS Fred and Rose THE sister of a victim of Fred and Rose West says she has forgiven the House of Horrors serial killers.

Marian Partington, 70, says she no longer feels anger towards the monsters who raped and tortured Lucy, cousin of novelist Martin Amis.

Lucy was abducted from a bus stop in Cheltenham, Glos, aged 21 in 1973.

Her remains were found in the cellar of the Wests’ home in Cromwell Street, Gloucester, in 1994.

Sister Marian told how she arrived at her decision to forgive them after visiting a Buddhist retreat.

She told BBC Radio Gloucestershire: “I made a vow to try to forgive the Wests. It’s very much a journey of wanting to free myself from anything that could destroy my life.”
