Buzzcocks in Xmas No1 bid

DEATH Pete Shelley THE Buzzcocks are backing a campaign to get them a Christmas No 1 following the death of their frontman Pete Shelley.

The punk band’s fans want the song Ever Fallen In Love to top the charts, after it hit No 12 in 1978.

The official Buzzcocks Facebook account has shared the change.org petition, saying: “While we are not the ones who started this campaign, have at it.”

Shelley died aged 63 of a heart attack last Thursday.
