City star Sterling has sparked a wide debate after his Instagram post last weekend on the back of him being subjected to alleged racist abuse at Chelsea. The Premier League have publicly voiced their support, but there is also a feeling they should seize the moment and launch a fullscale campaign, and it could be spread wider across this weekend’s fixtures.

Sterling has now galvanised a strength of feeling that more must be done to stamp out racism within the game. Players have come forward to offer support, including his City team-mate Sane.
