WALK

-

In The Mill is set to be campaigned over hurdles to preserve his handicap mark before the Grand National weights are released in early February.

Trainer Robert Walford’s eightyear-old produced a career best to land Saturday’s Becher Chase and his season will now be based around a return to Aintree for the National in April. However, given his win came off a mark of 137 and a rise in the weights should get him into the final field, Walford is keen to safeguard his rating. Walford (left) said: “He’ll run in a novice hurdle or two — we don’t want to go up the weights.” Walk In The Mill is a best-priced 33-1.
