Stacey beats accent snobs
FAVOURITE Stacey Dooley STRICTLY favourite Stacey Dooley has revealed her career was threatened by bias against her accent.
The TV journalist, 31, was brought up in Luton and left school at 15.
Asked if this ever made her feel less capable, she told Stylist magazine: “Of course, particularly in current affairs.
“People would say, ‘Once you’ve got past her accent’, or ‘What the hell are the BBC thinking?’
“But it was a split camp.” FIR goodness sake, inventor Colin Furze knows how to outshine other people’s efforts at putting up a Christmas tree.
The YouTuber, behind the world’s fastest mobility scooter and longest motorbike, squeezed a 26ft Norway spruce into his three-bedroom home. He cut it into sections, with the base in the living room, the middle in a bedroom and the tip seeming to poke out of the roof.
Colin, 38, of Stamford, Lincs, said: “My children, who are two and six, couldn’t believe their eyes, they loved it.”
Clearing up all the needles must be a real pine but this tree is so tall it almost has a genuine star on top...
