Schools face ‘a cuts crisis’
HEAD teachers are begging parents to press MPs to boost slashed school budgets.
A letter sent to 300,000 families says funding will be down by £189,776 per North East secondary school in 2019/20 compared with 2015/16.
Parents across the region are asked to sign a petition and write to MPs about the cash “crisis”.
The letter says: “Schools are working to make ends meet but this is verging on almost impossible.”
