Jailed for £3k dating site scam
A CON artist arrested for stealing the savings of a man she met on a dating site told police he had raped her, a court heard.
Natalie Rivers, 35, who was jailed for 20 months after admitting theft, faked an interest in the 58-year-old after spending the night with him.
But Norwich crown court heard Rivers stole £3,040 in cash after he left her in his home the next day. When arrested, she told police her victim was a sugar daddy who had been paying her £150 an hour. When that story fell apart, she falsely claimed he had raped her.
The court heard Rivers, of Old Costessey, Norfolk, had previous convictions for stealing from people she had befriended.
