Beware of this pair

■ Not so very long ago, Boris Johnson and Jacob Rees-Mogg were seen as cartoon characters, but now they are probably two of the most dangerous people in Britain. Their egos and ambitions are far more important to them than what is in the best interest of the country. Neither should be allowed anywhere near No 10, for all our sakes. ■ My heart goes out to the family of murdered backpacker Grace Millane. How dreadful for this to happen to such a lovely young woman. Hopefully, the way the people of New Zealand have responded to this tragedy has been of some comfort to Grace’s family and friends. Clare Prescott Hove, East Sussex

In his TV review, Ian Hyland sympathised with “poor Dickie”, ie Richard Madeley, having to cough up almost £1,000 for the bill on BBC2’s I’ll Get This.
