PAUL McCARTNEY AND WINGS
This six-disc version of Macca’s 1973 chart topper makes a lot out of meagre source material. Escaping the shadow of The Beatles with a rock band, the future Sir Paul’s winning uptempo style is in evidence along with the swooning domesticity typified by My Love. The originally planned double album is included along with TV doc Paul James McCartney. Extras include a bit too much of Mary Had A Little Lamb, but a pre-orchestra version of Live And Let Die compensates.
