Hockey guys to be Bel of the ball

IN case you missed it, English sporting performance of the week came at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar, where the men’s hockey team beat Olympic champions Argentina for the first time in 20 years to reach the semi-final stage of the World Cup.

Tomorrow, Belgium will stand in the way of a first World Cup final appearance in 32 years for England, fired to the last four by a winner from Harry Martin (above). If England make it, let’s hope the final can find its way on to live free-to-air TV for the audience it deserves.
