Big-hearted kids buy gifts for homeless

- BY CATHERINE MURPHY

GIVING Sienna and Rhys A BROTHER and sister saved up their pocket money to buy presents for the homeless.

Rhys Hughes, six, was shocked to see people living on the streets in Liverpool and asked his mum Kerry: “Does Santa visit the homeless?”

He roped in sister Sienna, nine, and they started saving to buy gloves, hats, socks and chocolates for the less fortunate.

They also decorated bags and made lunch boxes which they gave out with their mum.

Kerry, from Whiston, Merseyside, said: “It was lovely because of how happy the gesture has made everyone involved – the homeless people and the children.

“They made me proud of them.” really
