Blundering paramedic axed

-

A PARAMEDIC who said a stroke victim just had a migraine has been struck off.

Kristian Williams refused to give painkillers to a woman who felt a “pop” inside her head followed by intense pain – later diagnosed as a bleed on the brain.

Williams, who joined the ambulance service in 2004, faced five other misconduct claims and was said to have made several errors in the 2016 incident.

The Health and Care Professions Tribunal Service told the hearing in Lambeth, South London the patient was left “in considerable pain, … unnecessarily”.
