Mum’s sweet enterprise lets you buy tub of your favourite variety
CRAMPED Beds in lounge A FAMILY of landlords has been ordered to pay almost £250,000 after stuffing 31 tenants inside a four-bedroom house.
The tenants were forced to sleep in shifts as night workers would swap with those who worked days.
Enforcement officers also found a woman living in a shed in a 2016 raid at the property in Wembley, North West London.
Harsha Shah, her daughter Chandni and brother Sanjay brought in around £112,000 a year.
Brent Council said the family were “stuffing people into appalling conditions”. Caroline’s tailored tubs Caroline Jefferson A MUM has set up a Christmas business sorting Quality Street sweets into one variety per tub.
Caroline Jefferson buys containers in bulk and separates the 12 flavours.
She charges £7.50 for a tub of your favourite, or £6 if it is one of four bigger varieties, such as the green triangle.
Caroline, of Southwick, West Sussex, lists them on Facebook Marketplace, Quality Street selection box where she said: “They’re hugely popular.” Last week, a study found tubs had just five hazelnut caramels on average compared with 10 strawberry creams.
Maker Nestle said it provides an equal split of fruit creams, chocolates and caramel or fudge, adding: “That’s why you get more Strawberry Delights, which is one of only two fruit creams.”
Nestle was contacted for comment.
