Mum hanged in girl’s room

A MUM who beat breast cancer hanged herself after she wrongly feared a lump meant it had returned, an inquest has heard.

Dawn Cheetham rowed with partner Jonathan Mellor on July 13 and the following day she was found hanged in their eight-year-old girl’s room in Wardle, Gtr Manchester.

Mr Mellor told Rochdale coroner’s court that cancer was “constantly on the mind” of the 43-year-old dental nurse.

Verdict: Suicide.
