The letters A to Z have each been allocated a different number between 1 and 26. The number next to each word in this list is the sum total of the letter values in that word. So, for example, in RAY, R might equal 18, A 21 and Y 3, or R might be 5, A 25 and Y 12, or any other combinatio­n adding up to 42. We’ve placed some starter letters in the grid at the bottom — can you work out the values of the rest?
