Big fuel bill switch-off

-

TWO out of three households have had to turn their heating off already this year due to worries about high energy bills.

The energyhelpline.com site found that in the cold snap earlier this year we spent an extra £3.8million a day on gas and electricity. Since April, bills have risen an average 6.5%.

Switching to a cheaper tariff saves an average £318, energyhelpline.com estimates.

The site’s spokeswoman Victoria Arrington said: “Fix to a good rate now.”
