Host was named top beauty icon HOLLY Willoughby has been named beauty icon of the year – after winning an army of fans during her stint Down Under in the I’m a Celeb jungle.

The 37-year-old TV star beat actress Helen Mirren, 73, by a big margin followed by Kate Middleton, 36, and Adele, 30, in joint third in the Superdrug survey.

The retailer’s commercial director Simon Comins said of her girl-next-door style: “Holly’s the celeb of the moment, renowned for her effortless, natural look.” THE Home Secretary last night declared a “major incident” as the number of migrants intercepted trying to cross the English Channel since Christmas Day hit almost 100.

Sajid Javid cut short his holiday as campaigners warned it was only a matter of time before a tragedy occurred between Dover and Calais – the world’s busiest shipping lane.

Labour’s Yvette Cooper said the Home Office was told more people would try at Christmas.

The chair of Parliament’s powerful Home Affairs Select Committee said: “There is a real risk of tragedy.” Twelve men were handed over yesterday to immigration officials, adding to 82 people detained since Christmas Day. Mr Javid stopped short of demands to supply another Border Force boat to add to the reported one cutter on patrol. He asked for “detailed options”, including “whether this is likely to encourage more people rather than act as a deterrence”. Andy Roberts, an ex-coastguard officer, said: “We won’t be rescuing people – we’ll be picking up bodies.” Dover MP Charlie Elphicke, who meets Immigration Minister Caroline Nokes today, said: “Let’s bring back cutters to the Channel.”
