Time’s up for Tories
■ We are living through what, by common consent, is the worst governmental crisis for decades. The PM is unable to secure party, let alone, parliamentary support for her Brexit deal, and little other business is being discussed in the House of Commons.
Theresa May’s authority has been destroyed by her own party, with more than a third of her own MPs demanding she resigns.
In truth, the Government has long since failed to govern. With every passing day there is more news of record homelessness, growing child and pensioner poverty, near destitution caused by Universal Credit, falling wages, gaping inequality, and an NHS facing yet another winter crisis.
If these were ‘normal times’ the Government would have already realised its fate, but May and her Government hang onto office long after they’ve been drained of any real authority or legitimacy.
We don’t believe the people of this country should have to endure this spectacle any longer and we urge everyone to join us in London tomorrow to serve notice of a failed party paralysed by their own crisis of ideology.
The people must stand up and demand they step aside. Join the People’s Assembly demonstration at noon tomorrow at Portland Place and march to Trafalgar Square.
