Carillion: Call in the police
TOP trade union Unite is stepping up calls for a criminal probe into the collapse of Carillion.
The engineering giant went into compulsory liquidation on January 15 last year, leading to thousands of job losses.
Unite said the cost to the taxpayer was more than £150million, including redundancy pay.
Assistant general secretary of Unite, Gail Cartmail, said: “The Government needs to take action to drive bandit capitalism out of the UK.”
