Tory schools cuts hit £7bn
EDUCATION spending has fallen by more than £7billion since the Tories came into power.
Analysis by the House of Commons Library reveals how real-terms spending on education fell from £95.5billion in 2011-12 to £87.7billion in 2017-18.
Labour’s Angela Rayner, who commissioned the research, said: “A generation of children and adult learners will pay the price for Tory austerity.”
The Department for Education declined to comment when contacted.
