Sharp lad in crash res­cue

THE broth­ers of two Eng­land stars have been at­tacked and robbed at gun­point while hav­ing break­fast in a cafe.

Tyler Alexan­der-Arnold and Dane Rash­ford, 26, were re­port­edly set upon af­ter stop­ping off to eat be­fore driv­ing on to a match.

The foot­ball agents and a pal were taken to hos­pi­tal for mi­nor in­juries af­ter be­ing beaten up by a gang with a sus­pected shot­gun, ma­chete and base­ball bat.

Two guns have been seized. Det Insp Andy Buck­thorpe, of Greater Manch­ester Po­lice, said: “Thank­fully no one was se­ri­ously in­jured. The sit­u­a­tion could’ve been a lot worse.”

Dane, brother and man-

PLAY­ERS Trent Alexan­derArnold and Mar­cus Rash­ford ager of Man Utd’s Mar­cus, and Tyler were at Lit­tle Rock cafe in Moss Side when the raiders stormed in at 10.30am on Satur­day.

Of­fi­cers said they threat­ened din­ers, de­mand­ing car keys and other items. They are be­lieved to be prob­ing the the­ory the friends were fol­lowed in their lux­ury cars.

They were robbed of items in­clud­ing a watch, wal­let and a white Range Rover.

Po­lice found the car in nearby Fal­low­field. Mr Buck­thorpe added: “We have re­cov­ered two guns from a scene close by.”

The pals had been due to watch Brighton play Liver­pool, where Tyler’s brother and client Trent plays.

They also missed Manch­ester vs Spurs yes­ter­day. Four men, aged 18, 19, 23 and 58, and two 17-year-olds re­main in cus­tody.

Quick-think­ing Nathan ran in to fetch a knife in Coat­bridge, near Glas­gow.

His mum, who asked not to be named, said: “Nathan grabbed a knife to give to his dad so Stu­art could cut his seat­belt and crawl out.”

Stu­art is in hos­pi­tal with mi­nor in­juries.
