Rad salute to Masinga
LUCAS RADEBE has paid tribute to the man “everybody loved” after former Leeds and South Africa striker Phil Masinga died at the age of 49.
Radebe, who joined Leeds with Masinga (below) in 1994, said of the man who scored the decisive goal against Congo which sealed South Africa’s qualification for the 1998 World Cup: “Everybody loved him. The fans took him as a hero and he never looked back.”
Radebe added that Masinga had lost his battle with cancer.
