Warning after huge rock fall at TV beach

RUBBLE Spot was sealed off A BEACH made famous by the popular ITV police drama Broadchurc­h has been closed after 1,000 tons of rock fell from a cliff.

The public were warned to stay away after the huge slip was spotted on a live council video stream.

A coastal path was closed and a search and rescue operation began at West Bay beach in Dorset.

Chief Insp Lance Cliff, of Dorset Police, said: “At this stage it is not believed anyone is trapped.”

Dorset council said there were “dangerous overhangs” from the cliff.

“The public are advised to stay away,” it added.
