Man kills gull in chip swoop
A TOURIST killed a seagull for knocking his chips out of his hand.
John Llewellyn Jones, 65, flipped as the bird targeted his food in Weston-superMare, Somerset, grabbing it by the leg and smashing it into a wall last summer.
North Somerset magistrates found Jones, of Cardiff, guilty of a Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 offence. He got a 12-week curfew, 8pm to 8am.
RSPCA Cymru said he “cared more for his chips than the poor gull”.
