AIRLINE staff threatened to kick a woman off a flight as her outfit was deemed too skimpy.

Emily O’Connor, 21, was told by Thomas Cook workers that her crop-top was “causing offence”.

She was left “shaking and upset” over the flight from Birmingham to Tenerife.

She said that staff used the PA system to tell her that the plane could not take off until she covered her “inappropriate” top.

Emily had to wear her cousin’s jacket so the flight could leave. Emily, of Solihull, West Mids, said of the bust-up on March 2: “The flight attendant said I was inappropriately dressed and needed to cover up.

“The flight manager said: ‘If you don’t put a jacket on now, we’re taking you off the plane.’

“They held the flight for 20 minutes. It was the most sexist, misogynistic, embarrassing experience of my life.”

Thomas Cook said: “We are sorry. It’s clear we could have handled the situation better.”
