SIRUH DU LAC is a last-time-out course-anddistance winner who hasn’t stopped improving – and hails from an in-form stable.

Nick Williams’ son of Turgeon has suffered just one reverse in six outings over fences – a third at Wincanton in February last year came on the back of wins at Bangor and Exeter.

The six-year-old is three from three this season, coming out on top at Newbury in November and Exeter the following month before racking up the hat-trick on Trials Day last time out.

Continuing his fruitful association with the trainer’s stepdaugher Lizzie Kelly, Siruh Du Lac got the better of a tussle with Janika

by a head – the pair nine lengths clear of the third – and a 7lb rise shouldn’t stop another good account.

The lightly raced and Azzerti improving is a candidate for the podium, along with course winners Modus Kalondra.
