BAND IS A BIG HIT
BAND OF OUTLAWS landed a gamble to give Joseph O’Brien another career landmark.
Punters backed JJ Slevin’s mount from 7-1 to 7-2 favourite, and the four-year-old obliged with a two-length win over Coko Beach.
O’Brien readied Ivanovich Gorbatov for the 2016 Triumph Hurdle but the licence was in his father Aidan’s name.
Already an Irish Derby and Melbourne Cup winner as a trainer, O’Brien, 25, said: “We had two seconds, a fourth and a fifth. It’s nice to get a winner.”
