RARE Hero’s awards THE 12 medals of a Royal Navy hero who served for 53 years are tipped to sell for up to £30,000.

Sir Humphrey Walwyn was a junior officer aboard the battleship Warspite when it was holed 150 times in the epic 1916 Battle of Jutland.

Joining in 1893, he took part in the Boer War and both World Wars and rose to be a Vice Admiral.

Sir Humphrey commanded the Royal Indian Navy and was later governor of Newfoundland before rejoining the Royal Navy.

Matthew Denney, of auctioneers Lawrences of Crewkerne, Somerset, said: “To cover that length of time and action is very unusual and these 12 medals are exceptionally rare because of it.” FORMER JLS star Oritse Williams raped a “zombified” fan in his hotel room after she watched him perform in a nightclub, a court heard.

The 32-year-old allegedly carried out the attack after the performance – and tour manager Jamien Nagadhana also allegedly sexually assaulted the woman.

The woman, who is in her 20s, told police she was left feeling “pathetic” and “worthless” after the duo allegedly carried out the attack.

She met Williams when he invited her and two friends into the VIP area at a club called Gorgeous.

Miranda Moore, prosecuting, said the three friends “felt sorry” for him as he “awkwardly” performed his new single.

“It was perhaps not going down as stormingly as he had hoped”, she said.

Jurors were told they approached Williams as a

“joke” and believe their drinks were spiked while partying with him and his entourage. Ms Moore said they began to “feel odd” after downing shots – although there is no forensic evidence they were drugged.

The group later returned to Williams’ hotel, but one of the women left after vomiting in the taxi, it is claimed.

A hotel employee said the alleged victim and her other friend looked “spaced out and zombified”.

The woman said they spent time in Williams’ room – which he was sharing with Nagadhana, 32 – but left after he demanded sex. She was attacked when she returned to get her phone which she thought she’d left behind, it is claimed.

In a taped police interview, she said Williams picked her up and “pushed” her on to the double bed before raping her.

“In the blink of an eye my pants were off,” she said. “The whole time I was telling him to get off me, ‘f*** off ’, but he was not having it.

“He was making gross remarks about my body. I was crying, I could not comprehend it any more. It was horrible, not feeling like you have any self control in your body. It was really bad. I lay like a dead body for a bit. I just wanted it to be over.

“I was quite scared, but not terrified. I felt more pathetic and weak. It kills your confidence. I felt worthless.”

Wolverhampton crown court heard the woman told police Nagadhana, of Hounslow, West London, sexually assaulted her while she was being raped by Williams.

The pop star and his tour manager were arrested at the Ramada Park Hall hotel, in Wolverhampton, West Midlands, after the alleged attack.

Ms Moore said Williams told officers the woman “instigated and started all the sexual activity”.

Williams, of Croydon, South London, denies rape. Nagadhana denies sexual assault and a serious sexual assault.

The trial continues.
