£880k cash from G4S van raid ‘missing’
SOME £880,000 is “still missing” after a G4S driver stole the contents of his firm’s van, a court heard.
Joel March, 36, fled with cash-in-transit deposit boxes on April 23 – and blew £1,400 in JD Sports.
The van was later found parked on a double yellow line in Clapham, South West London.
Prosecutor Alex Agbamu told Inner London crown court: “The amount is £900,000 – and £880,000 is unaccounted for.
“The day after, March spent £1,400 on sportswear and trainers.”
Michael Hillman, for March, said there was “no explanation” for the crime.
March, of Clapham, has admitted theft and will be sentenced on July 26.
