Moped crime – where robbers terrorise pedestrians – has dropped by 52% after a 12-strong gang were arrested.

Nine of the crooks had 383 convictions between them.

Brothers John, 24, and Isaac McFadyen, 19, threatened one woman, demanding she hand over jewellery or they would snatch and hurt her three-year-old son.

And yet the McFadyen monsters have been sentenced to just 32-months each.

Most likely they’ll serve just half that. How can that be right? I await moped crime soaring again in about a year from now…
