‘Nick faked Westminster paedo story’

ACCUSED Carl Beech THE man known as “Westminster Nick” made false claims of abuse and child murder against MPs, spy chiefs and the military, a court heard.

Carl Beech, 51, is said to have insisted he saw three children die, multiple rapes, kidnap and “sexual abuse” by VIP paedophiles.

The “ring” allegedly included former PM Ted Heath and ex-Home Secretary Leon Brittan, Newcastle crown court heard.

Beech’s account sparked Operation Midland in 2014, which cost £2million.

But Met officers found “no evidence whatsoever to support his account”.

Beech, of Gloucester, is said to have falsely sought compensation for abuse.

He denies perverting the course of justice and fraud.
