PUDDING IN THE PLANTS
Premier Foods is tapping into the growth of healthier lifestyles with new plant-based puddings.
The group, which owns brands include Mr Kipling and Ambrosia, said Plantastic will be a range of desserts, cakes and soups with vegan and plant-based ingredients.
It comes as annual revenues in its Sweet Treats division fell 1.2% despite surging demand for new Mr Kipling slices such as rainbow coloured Unicorn.
The company posted an annual loss of £42.7million after it was hit by employee pension scheme charges and restructuring costs.
