RORY BURNS and Dean Elgar hit centuries to put Surrey in a strong position against Somerset on day one in the Championship.
Skipper Burns hit 107 and Elgar 103 (right, together) against one of his former clubs as the visitors finished on 330-6.
Surrey were 265-2 at one stage, but then lost four wickets for 30 runs as Lewis Gregory struck twice on his way to figures of 3-44 from 17 overs in Division One at Taunton.
