City assist FFP probe
MANCHESTER CITY say they are assisting UEFA’s investigation into alleged Financial Fair Play breaches.
City are concerned that investigators will push for a Champions League ban before an official statement has been made by Europe’s governing body.
UEFA looked at alleged financial irregularities at City earlier this year. And they were fined £49million, and hit with Champions League squad and transfer restrictions after breaches of FFP investigated in 2014.
A City statement said: “The accusation of financial irregularities are entirely false, and comprehensive proof has been provided.”
