Ant and ex in bust-up on her doorstep
Ex won’t let him in to collect stuff
ANT McPartlin and Lisa Armstrong have had a furious bust-up – after she stopped him entering the couple’s former marital home.
The I’m A Celebrity star was left stunned after Lisa, 42, refused to let him in despite his repeatedly ringing the intercom doorbell.
Ant wanted to take away the last of his possessions and had arranged, via his lawyers, to go the mansion, in West London, where Lisa now lives by herself.
It would have been the first time the pair had seen each other since divorce proceedings were launched.
Sources close to Lisa claim she was unaware Ant himself was going to turn up. But Ant’s camp insist Lisa had been briefed by representatives that he would attend and the time was agreed.
The source said: “Ant has a right to collect his possessions he left in the house two years ago.
“The last time he was in the house was July, two years ago – before he went into rehab the first time. He just wants to collect his belongings at the agreed time.
“It’s all pretty tiring now – he just wants to move on with his life.”
The stand-off comes as the pair’s divorce court case continues to drag on with no sign of resolution.
A source added of the drama: “It’s obviously a very sensitive situation so Ant knows he has to do everything by the book. So it’s disappointing she wouldn’t let him in, despite this all being prearranged. It’s sad it’s come to this, really.”
Ant, 43, was this week seen at Wimbledon with new partner Anne-Marie Corbett, also 43. The pair got together three months after Ant and Lisa split in January last year, after 11 years of marriage. They were granted a decree nisi in October, but have yet to agree the financial terms of the split.
Make-up artist Lisa will be due a large portion of Ant’s £60million fortune.
Ant and Lisa met at a Smash Hits concert, in Newcastle, in the mid-90s.
Lisa was an aspiring pop star in Deuce and Ant was performing with Dec Donnelly as PJ & Duncan. They married in 2006, with Dec serving as best man.
Earlier this year, Ant said: “Anne-Marie honestly is the fundamental reason for the great change in my life.
“She’s been my rock. She’s a beautiful soul. We’re very happy.”
